Q. Is the application by the web only?

Q. Is it possible to apply by groups?

⇒ A. Although it is possible to apply by group, the prizes in case of the first place are only for one person.

 

 

Q. Regardless of professional or amateur?

⇒ A. It does not matter about age, professional or amateur.

 

 

Q. Can I also entry foreign nationality?

⇒ A. You can apply for foreign nationals or those living abroad. Please  entry in English or Japanese sentences. For details, please check the English details page from  HOME 'ENGLISH' button. 

 

 

Q. Is the entry free?

Q. Is it possible to apply with design images?

⇒ A. Only finished Kimono are accepted  - please no concept drawing

 

 

Q. Is it possible to apply by the pictures which mannequins or models wearing the work?

⇒ A. It is OK, but please do not make excessive as the garment is the only subject for judging.

Q. Is the judging only by picture?

⇒ A. Yes, Please apply with 4 pictures (front 1, back 1, internal 1, and 1 miscellaneous - total of 4 pictures) and comments following the 4 examination points. 

Works itself will not be accepted during judging period.  We will ask the winners and the top Kimono to be sent to us for the international exhibitions after the judges have made their selection. Details to announced.

Q. Even 4 or more pictures can be submitted? (I want to show more details)

⇒ A. It is impossible. Please fill in the whole picture, the material expansion, the appealing point, the state before production etc. in the 4 pictures.

 

 

Q. Does it  matter the artwork for adults, children, men, women or summer, winter items?

⇒ A. It does not matter about that.

 

 

Q. Is it possible to make kimono afresh by patch work on recycled  kimonos or clothes?

⇒ A. It is OK.

 

 

Q. Is it possible to remake kimonos in western style clothes such as dress?

⇒ A. No western clothing styles. Only garments that have the essence of Japanese Kimono

 

 

Q. Is it possible to design painted on recycled kimono?

⇒ A. It is OK.

 

 

Q. Is it possible to exhibit Hakama or Haori with the Kimono as an accessory?

⇒ A. It is impossible. Because the kimono is hidden. Accessory is only Obi.

 

 

Q. Is it possible to exhibit  the work on design by myself, sewing works made by asking other people such as a tailor?

⇒ A. It is OK.

 

 

Q. Is it possible to apply by designing Japanese clothes other than kimono such as Samui etc?

⇒A. It is impossible. It's only Kimono.

 

 

Q. Are the quality(skills) and design low judging criteria?

⇒ A. The judging criteria is 3-4th. We really take Recycle & Sustain seriously.

 

 

Q. Is it OK even for works that have ever been submitted for public offering (works not yet unpublished)?

⇒ A. It is OK.

 

 

Q. What is the copyright?

⇒ A. Although the copyright belongs to the artist, the organizer shall have the right to use copyrights on public relations such as prints and HP postings.

 

 

Q. Is it possible to sell my work at the upper prize exhibition?

⇒ A. It is possible. Commission will be charged on selling price.
